Our products are scientifically based and are made with a unique combination of highly pure natural ingredients and innovative biotechnological active ingredients with proven effectiveness. They effectively address the skin's daily needs, promoting long-term beauty and health. Bess is the first company worldwide to incorporate a new-generation active ingredient called Sacran into its products.
Sacran is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the Suizenji Nori seaweed, which grows only in the pure, mineral-rich waters of Kyushu Island, Japan. It was once consumed exclusively by the Emperor of Japan, and its availability is now very limited. Bess is the only brand to feature this formidable ingredient, which is present in all our products.

Sacran has an enormous capacity to capture and retain water, capable of capturing 6,000 times its weight in water, giving it a hydrating capacity five times greater than that of the well-known hyaluronic acid. It also improves skin elasticity and texture and contributes to a significant reduction in fine wrinkles after just four weeks of application. It also improves skin with dermatitis due to its proven anti-inflammatory properties.

Typically, the ingredients used to make Bess products are blended in small batches every 12 to 15 weeks in our laboratory facilities; then packaged and shipped to all of our customers.

At Bess, we work with the best and most cutting-edge packaging manufacturers and have a range that allows us to guarantee the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of our formulations.
Today, almost all of our packaging bears the ECOCERT seal, but we have a more ambitious plan to take ongoing measures to minimize the environmental impact of our packaging by adopting increasingly sustainable models and solutions.

All of our products with more sensitive active ingredients use airless packaging, which isolates the formulation from the outside environment, providing greater protection against germs and preventing oxidation, prolonging its shelf life and allowing our active ingredients to achieve their full effectiveness when applied to the skin.
They are all made from recycled plastic and are biodegradable, with FDA and EU DIR approvals.
They are very easy to use at 360º and allow for excellent product emptying, with precise dosage of up to 0.32 ml.

Furthermore, the Noozzle Closure System (NCS) dispensing system in our Airless containers provides optimal protection for all our formulations, especially the most advanced ones with the most sensitive active ingredients. This new closure protects the entire opening and prevents possible external contamination. The NCS offers clean dosing, allowing the required amount to be dispensed, even in small quantities.

The boxes we use to ship our products are FSC-certified, the highest environmental certification available for cardboard and paper.

The date stamped on the bottom of your product is the expiration date; however, we recommend that you start using the product immediately to take advantage of the fresh, potent ingredients.

There are no banned cosmetics, a misconception that has spread online and has become increasingly prevalent. Scientific studies conclude that there is no evidence that cosmetics are harmful during pregnancy. However, there are some cosmetic active ingredients whose use is recommended to be discontinued during pregnancy as a precaution, as during these months the skin undergoes changes that make it more sensitive, something that may require reoptimizing hydration and avoiding some potentially irritating active ingredients such as retinoids (vitamin A), salicylic acid, and glycolic acid. As for essential oils, due to a lack of research, it is best to avoid them during the nine months of pregnancy as they are not exempt from adverse reactions.

All ingredients, including essential oils, are clearly listed on all products, and it is best to consult directly with your healthcare provider if you remain concerned.

We meticulously test all BESS products and ingredients, but never on animals. Never have, never will.

Furthermore, EU law prohibits any cosmetic product or ingredient from being tested on animals.

We select organic ingredients for our products; however, we made a conscious decision to focus on the most important aspect of BESS: purity and efficacy. This means we create 100% natural products with maximum effectiveness. We also strongly believe in transparency, which is why we decided to omit certifications on our products, many of which are linked to political or marketing initiatives.

The vitamin E (tocopherol) found in our BESS products is derived from 100% natural, non-GMO vegetable oil (not related to palm oil).

BES products are 100% natural and free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, mineral oil, petrolatum, PEG, phthalates, and silicones. This also means we don't use any sulfate derivatives or chemicals that can harm your skin.

All glycerin used in BESS products is of plant origin, specifically from the crude source of European rapeseed oil. The glycerin extraction process requires the use of methanol as a solvent, but during the distillation process, the resulting glycerin-water mixture is rectified at 160°C under high vacuum. This excludes any possibility of contamination of the final product, and signed VEG Certificates of Origin, as well as detailed descriptions of the manufacturing process, are on file in our laboratory.

Our Vitamin C is sodium ascorbyl phosphate and is encapsulated, which better protects it from degradation, achieving maximum progressive release of the active ingredient with longer-lasting effects, reaching the deep layers of the epidermis. Encapsulation increases the bioavailability of the active ingredient and, therefore, better results (high antioxidant capacity, stimulates collagen production, anti-inflammatory action, brightening effect, accelerates melanin degradation, inhibits melanogenesis).

The retinol we use is encapsulated, which, compared to not encapsulating it, provides our products with the following benefits:

• Protects the asset against degradation.
• Maximum release of the active ingredient in the deep layers of the epidermis.
• Multiplies the effectiveness without exceeding the dose recommended by the SCCS.
• Progressive release of the active ingredient for longer-lasting effects.
• Increases the bioavailability of the active ingredient.

An ExVivo efficacy study on human skin explants has shown that, at the same retinol concentration, the encapsulated product we use at Bess is much more effective than retinol applied freely, recovering up to 90% of lost collagen in just 7 days of treatment.

As with all EU and FDA-approved sunscreens, we recommend reapplying every two hours or after exposure to water, perspiration, or cleansing.

Our CC Cream has color pigments that can even replace foundation. It provides a very neutral color, yet is sufficient to eliminate skin imperfections. It also contains the same active ingredients as our Super Hydrating Cream, providing SPF 30.

Any of the creams that offer sun protection (Super Hydrating Cream, CC Cream, Smokers' Day Repair Cream) have sunscreen filters that aren't waterproof. When developing this formula, we wanted a product that could be used year-round, not just at the beach, to ensure daily protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. The ingredients needed to waterproof a natural formula can be unpleasant for daily use, and Bess's sunscreen creams are designed to be used every day.

They are the only creams available on the market specifically designed to reverse the negative effects of tobacco on the skin, and are therefore suitable for both current smokers and former smokers whose skin has also been affected by tobacco.

We have two creams: a day cream whose ingredients focus on restoring proper hydration levels and protecting against environmental factors that are especially harmful to this skin type. We also have a night cream whose ingredients are more focused on actively treating the signs of skin aging associated with smoking.
