RETINOL

Derivado de la vitamina A, el retinol acelera la renovación celular y estimula la síntesis de colágeno para atenuar arrugas y mejorar la textura cutánea. HOW TO USE

It contains retinol, an active ingredient that can cause skin irritation, and although in our formula it is encapsulated (minimizing the possibility of irritation) and in combination with sacran and niacinamide, which have a protective and anti-inflammatory effect, as a precaution, we recommend the following frequency of application:

Application:At night, apply to a clean, dry face, neck, and décolletage. Massage until completely absorbed.

Initial protocol: First 2 weeks, 1 application every 2 nights.

Maintenance: If there is no redness or peeling, switch to daily nighttime use.

Sensitivity adjustment:
-Mild morning redness or peeling: continue alternate nights until adaptation.
-Moderate irritation: space out to 1 application every 4–5 days or discontinue if not tolerable.

At what time of day should I apply the Anti-Aging Serum?

Following our dermatologists' protocols, which recommend moisturizing and protecting in the morning and treating at night, it's also recommended that you use this serum only at night. Retinol promotes skin renewal, making it slightly more sensitive to ultraviolet radiation. For this reason, it's also advisable to always apply a SPF 30 cream before leaving the house.

Can I use the Anti-Aging Serum at any time of the year?

As we mentioned in the previous question, Pure Retinol promotes skin cell renewal, making it more sensitive to the harmful effects of solar radiation. For this reason, at BESS SKIN HEALTH we always recommend avoiding its application during the summer months.

However, there is no absolute contraindication for its use in those who wish to continue applying Retinol during the summer months (and therefore use our Antiaging Serum), either because their skin tolerates it easily or on the recommendation of their dermatologist.

No matter what time of year you use our Anti-Aging Serum, and especially if you do so in spring or summer when the hours of radiation are longer and more intense, it is advisable to always apply a cream with SPF 30 before leaving the house.

If I use other facial care products at night, what should be the order in which I apply them?

The Anti-Aging Serum should be applied after cleansing your skin with our Hydrating Cleansing Gel and before any other treatment cream. This way, you can take full advantage of its high concentration of active ingredients. Furthermore, given its very light texture, this serum is easily absorbed, able to penetrate and act on the deepest layers of the skin.

For the night, the routine you should follow if you want to use several products should follow the following order: cleanser, toner, serum, eye contour, acne treatment (if you have any breakouts), moisturizer, retinol and facial oil
